Pulp at the O2: 'What exactly do you do for an encore' tour

Last Friday I experienced one of the most upbeat gigs of my life in the form of Pulp at the O2. Their strong new number 1 album ‘More’ brought me brilliant tracks I hadn’t heard before, mixed skilfully in with their incredible back catalogue.

With amazing set design and visuals overseen by Garth Jennings, Douglas green and Rob Sinclair, Julian House and Leo Flint it meant the whole event was a visual and sonic feast.

Jarvis Cocker has always been a man of great sartorial taste, mixing charity shop finds with Savile Row tailoring. His look and style were incredibly influential during the 90s, creating a trend leaning into the late 60s early 70s retro feel which became dominant at the time.  As soon as the stage curtains opened, there he was on stage, silhouetted against a blue background in his slim fitted double breasted jacket, paired with slim yet neatly flared trousers- it couldn’t have been anyone else. Which got me thinking about the importance of the silhouette.

We are known here at Mr Start for our slim tailored silhouette, yet you might be unaware we can create almost any. An easy looser fit jacket, an Oxford bag pleated trouser, or a 70s slim hipped, wide bottomed look are all achievable.

So whatever look you wish to achieve, we can do it. Just give us a call or drop us an email and discuss your ideas with us. Book an appointment here

Let’s talk silhouettes!

Wear it well.
