Masters of the Universe Wear Bad Suits
It’s funny, you would think that the masters of the universe, the rich and famous, our business leaders & politicians would have beautifully made and fitted suits or jackets. After all they have access to the best. The reality is, and there are exceptions of course, that they would seem few and far between. You could argue they have enough on their mind to be thinking about whether their trousers are a flattering cut for them, and you would be right, so that’s where the Tailor steps in.
Wear the part: be the part, is what I always say. The first principle of your outfit is to project the image you want the world to see. It could be many things, toned down modernist, slightly (or very) flamboyant or old school yet tasteful. But essentially, what it must do is fit properly.
Most of us don’t have perfect bodies, and one of the biggest mistakes people make is to buy something oversized to hide the imperfections.
At Mr Start we encounter many varied body shapes on a daily basis, and are well versed in dealing with and correcting issues minor and major, often without the clients knowledge. One of the most common problems for example, is one shoulder lower than the other; a dropped shoulder. It causes the jacket to crease on the back creating a diagonal fold. Very common and fixable. That’s what great tailoring does, it helps create illusions, and that’s the magic.

If you think of the stars of old Hollywood their suits were immaculate because they were there to present the image that they or more likely, the studios wanted to project. It was also at a time when generally men, and women were more well versed in visiting their tailor. Although times have changed somewhat, and we don’t tend to have a personal tailor so much these days, when you find yourself with an important occasion on the horizon, why not treat yourself to a fabulously fitting suit made from a quality fabric, and see the difference it makes.
Book your appointment now and lets get you the perfect fit.
Wear it well.
