Evan Dando At Rough Trade East

My 17 year old self would have pinched herself if she'd been told she would have the pleasure of dressing the legend and the gentleman that is Evan Dando from the mighty group The Lemonheads for his/their Uk Tour.

He chose our Leonard suit, perfect for his tall stature, with a longer line jacket and wider lapel. He loved the slant jacket pockets which made for a more "Rock n Roll " look in his opinion. Made from the Defender cloth from one of our favourite mills, the Fratelli Tallia Di Delfino, which we have harped on about for years now, due to its technical qualities. It's crease resistant, breathable and sweat wicking, keeping you cool, and also water repellant making it the ideal stage-wear for Evan. Also ideal for a long day at work, travel, or a wedding suit for the same reasons.

I caught him at an intimate acoustic gig at Rough Trade East before he embarked on his UK Tour. Just him and his guitar, running through some spirited and at times vulnerable renditions of his Lemonheads classics. Shame about Ray, Into Your Arms, Rudderless, and Outdoor type standing out for me. He wore the jacket with a plain black vest and jeans, making it his own.

He's currently touring the release of his book: Rumours of My Demise our on Faber Books, which promises to be a fascinating read.

We wish Evan and the band a succesful tour, and we love that he chose Mr Start.
